Music Video, Warner Records
Produced in collaboration with Kathleen, and published by Warner Records US, this video explored the use of early diffusion models for video generation which was cutting-edge at the time of its release in 2022.
Embracing the unpredictability of Disco Diffusion model and its glitching, we crafted a dreamlike visual journey. Organic imagery and warm tones contrast with the AI-driven aesthetic, blurring the line between nature and machine-generated art.
Product design and digital fabrication
Mater is 3D-printed jewellery designed using pregnancy data to preserve the experience of motherhood. The designs are generated by combining the ultrasound of the baby and it’s heartbeat. The outcome is always unique, just like every newborn.
Mater received an honourable mention in the RedDot awards, a prestigious product design prize. The project launched as a startup in Brazil.
3D scanning explorations
This ongoing series is a set of creative experiments using Gaussian splat scanning to build 3D representations of real-world scenes. By layering multiple scans into a kind of collage made of “splats,” the work explores a textured, visual experience that feels both abstract and familiar.
The project also plays with expression-based animation and audio reactivity, so the scans move and respond to sound—bringing them to life in new and unexpected ways.
Audio Visual
Intricate, procedurally generated shapes continuously emerge from a cellular automaton. Beginning with the simple mathematical rules of Rule 110, complexity unfolds organically, giving rise to self-organizing structures that bend, fold, and evolve in a dynamic interplay of chaos and symmetry. As the animation progresses, abstract forms transition between the organic and the synthetic. The process reaches its peak in a dance of increasing complexity before ultimately dissolving into space.
The work is accompanied by an evocative composition created by Eventless Plot, weaving together sonic textures that complement the unfolding visual narrative.
Social Media
Tropikal.IA explores the use of generative AI to create thought-provoking commentary on the Caribbean island of Aruba, where I was born and raised. The work reimagines the island's identity in an increasingly digital and globalized world.
The social media experiment reflects on themes such as commercialisation of nature, tropical futurism, and overtourism.
